This is our newest emotional support/service dog candidate and we need your help. Under our Military Animal Assisted Therapy & Education Action Plan, we help veterans get emotional support and service dogs they qualify for at no cost to them. Congress had just passed the PAWS for Veterans Therapy Act which would have provided some funds to help pay for emotional support / service dogs that veterans need. Unfortunately, due to the Covid-19 pandemic this bill has not made it to the Senate so it is unfunded at this time. We decided to go ahead with our local version of the program which includes finding and placing emotional support/ service dogs with Veterans that qualify for the program. We also provide ongoing support for the life of the dog and or veteran on a regular basis. This includes our licensed and registered professional healthcare providers as well as behavior management specialist for the dogs.
